As one of Texas’ most prominent business leaders, Marcus Hiles is using his influence to take a stand for disadvantaged youth. Hiles, the CEO of Western Rim Property Services, firmly advocates the right for every student to pursue the highest quality of education, despite his or her family’s socioeconomic status. To act on this, Hiles purchased over 3,000 backpacks – complete with binders, pencils, note cards and other school supplies – and then personally donated them to children in need throughout the Dallas/Forth Worth area.
Having successfully placed a total of 30,000 trees in local communities over the last 10 years, Hiles has included the planting goal of 2,500 trees as part of Western Rim’s long-term objectives. “We have seen firsthand the impact our efforts have had, both aesthetically and environmentally,” he notes. “These initiatives are just the beginning. We purposely plant and donate parklands beyond any government development regulation because we know that our labor today will benefit the ecosystem for future decades. My goal is to continue increasing the tree canopy in all of our neighborhoods as well as create municipal parks, jogging trails, and reserves. Our commitment to proven ecological solutions grants our renters the optimal quality of life in a thriving community.”
